Our extensive experience includes the evaluation and testing of sound pressure levels due to trucking activities, mechanical equipment and the design of custom noise control measures to ensure code compliance and a successful project for the center and the surrounding communities. Cherry Hill, New Jersey, JMP Holdings/M&M Realty Partners LLP

  • Residential property line noise evaluations of trucks and mechanical equipment included in the commercial buildings.
  • Performed detailed baseline acoustical study to evaluate the potential impact on neighbors.
  • Designed custom noise control recommendations including a 15 foot high noise barrier separating the commercial and residential areas of the site.
  • Expert testimony for successful approval of project.

 


Acoustical Evaluation of the Home Depot HVAC and Truck Operations
Lacey Township, New Jersey. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust

  • Property line noise evaluation of trucks and mechanical equipment.
  • Performed detailed baseline acoustical study to evaluate the potential impact on neighbors.
  • Designed custom noise control recommendations including rooftop screens and a 14 foot high noise barrier along the property line.
  • Expert testimony for successful approval of project.
  • Post-installation compliance measurements of truck and rooftop HVAC unit noise.

 


New Shop Rite Supermarket
Lodi, New Jersey, Century 21 Construction

  • Acoustical impact assessment for the trucks and rooftop units.
  • Performed detailed baseline acoustical study to evaluate the potential impact on neighbors.
  • Developed a detailed model of the sound pressure levels at the neighboring residences to the new site based upon measured and manufacturer’s data.
  • Developed recommendations for noise control which included orienting the loading docks away from the neighbors and rooftop noise barriers.
  • Provided expert testimony in front of the planning board resulting in an approval for the project.

Best Buy Property Line Noise Evaluation, Rockaway Townsquare Mall
Rockaway, New Jersey

  • At the completion of this project, performed sound pressure level measurements along the residential property line to verify that the rooftop noise control measures installed at part of the design of this store were effective in meeting the State and Township noise regulations.

 

 


Delivery Truck and Rooftop Equipment Noise Evaluation, BJ's Wholesale Club
Marlboro, New Jersey, RD management

  • Evaluated the noise from delivery trucks and rooftop air-handling equipment
  • Performed detailed baseline acoustical study to evaluate the potential impact on neighbors.
  • Evaluated the sound pressure levels due to the proposed operations at the neighboring residential property line and compared the results to the limits of the NJDEP noise regulation and the exiting ambient sound pressure levels measured along the neighboring residential property line.
  • Developed project-specific recommendations including a 12 foot high earth berm/ noise barrier along the property line.

Pascack Valley Shopping Center
Emerson, New Jersey. Keystone Development Group LLC

   

  • Performed the delivery truck noise and rooftop noise assessments for the proposed retail shopping center
  • Manufacturer’s sound data for rooftop equipment was used to evaluate the sound level produced by this equipment at the same property line locations.
  • Used measured sound pressure levels from refrigerated tractor-trailers, the noise produced by truck movements near the loading dock locations at retail buildings A and B were evaluated at the nearest residential property lines and compared with the limits of the state and local noise regulations.
  • Developed project-specific recommendations including rooftop acoustical screens and a 25 foot high property line noise barrier.
  • Provided expert testimony in front of the planning board resulting in an approval for the project.
