The sound levels due to outdoor industrial equipment and processes are evaluated with respect to noise regulations and project design goals. Baseline measurements are performed to document existing sound levels, and computer models are used to calculate the expected sound levels due to proposed equipment and operations. LSG&A develops noise control recommendations for equipment to reduce the acoustical impact on the community. We also provide expert testimony for applications before municipal boards to support and supplement our evaluations, and provide post-installation testing to verify compliance.
LSG&A also performs indoor and on-site industrial evaluations to determine employee noise exposure and OSHA compliance. Recommendations are developed for machinery noise control, room treatment, and administrative controls to reduce noise exposure to employees and adjacent areas.
